ABSTRACT
Vehicle anti-collision warning systems within the V2V environment can enable drivers to obtain the driving and pavement condition information of other vehicles beyond visual range. The safety distance model is the core of the early warning system. In this paper, a more reasonable safety distance model is established according to the different states of the leading vehicle (stationary, uniform speed, uniform acceleration and uniform deceleration), considering the driver factors, road conditions, information delay and positioning error. The paper builds a vehicle anti-collision warning system for simulation test, the simulation results show that without the influence of other factors, the safety distance required under dry asphalt pavement is the lowest. In the performance test of warning system, the false alarm rate is kept at a relatively low level during uniform speed, uniform acceleration and uniform deceleration. The reliability of the system meets the requirements.
