Research on Threshold Condition of Adaptive Control Partial-Intended Bus Priority Approach

Publication: CICTP 2021

ABSTRACT

Partial-intended bus priority approaches take into account the characteristics of the continuous bus lane, and can use the pre-signal to provide a reasonable road space for the bus, which can improve the traffic efficiency of the bus, thereby reducing the per capita delay. However, setting the pre-signal requires a threshold condition to make the pre-signal evergreen when the traffic state does not satisfy the set condition. The sensitivity of these threshold conditions to the traffic state, and whether they can play their due role when the traffic changes matters. By setting the initial conditions, the research analyzes the constraint effect of the threshold condition when the traffic state changes. Through the example verification, the threshold can play its proper judgment role. After calculation, the example adopts the Partial-intended bus priority import channel to greatly reduce the total delay, and to some extent reduce the per capita delay.
