ABSTRACT
V2X allows information interaction among vehicles. A driver reaction time evaluation method utilizing vehicle status and braking features is proposed in this paper. First, the relationship of initial speed and braking period is established with historical data. Then a hyperbola based decelerating curve generating method is implemented, and BP neural network is adopted to decide the parameters of decelerating curve with different initial speed. Last, a nonlinear segmented braking model is proposed to estimate the start time of braking time. Verification has been conducted in simulation; the results have showed the reliability and credibility of the proposed method.
