ABSTRACT
With the integration of port resources and the development of port differentiation, the definition of the hinterland of different goods in the port can provide a basis for decision-making for the coordinated development of port groups and optimization of resource allocation. Therefore, based on the analysis of the existing methods of port hinterland division, considering the composition of port cargo, this paper proposes an improved plume model, which is based on the impact of the comprehensive capacity of the same cargo berth on the research area. The degree of influence of the capacity on the hinterland is calculated based on the strength of the port berth, the correlation degree between the port and the research area, the accessibility and the optimal distance, and the hinterland is divided according to its size. Finally, according to the actual situation of port development, to divide the hinterland of goods. The results show that this model can accurately solve the hinterland range of port sub-category, which can provide theoretical support for port resource integration and optimization of resource allocation within the region.
