ABSTRACT
Wheel alignment parameters directly affect vehicle handling stability. Wheel alignment parameters include wheel toe-in, camber, caster, and kingpin inclination (SAI). Wheel toe-in and camber are between wheel plane and car longitudinal plane. The angle can be directly measured by the sensor, and the kingpin is the virtual axis used to restrain the steering of the wheel in the general position of the space. The traditional method cannot directly measure, and the measurement is usually performed by using an approximate linear model. Measurement time is long and the resulting measurement error is large. In order to realize the rapid and accurate detection of wheel positioning parameters, the binocular stereo vision theory is used to establish a mathematical model for measuring wheel positioning parameters, and to realize automatic non-contact measurement of wheel positioning parameter detection.
