Algorithm of Bus Station Service Radius Based on Big Data of Shared Bicycles

ABSTRACT

The service reach of bus station, namely service radius, is a key indicator used to measure the quality of convenience services in a bus station. According to the transit capacity and quality of service manual (2nd Edition), the walking service radius of a bus station is 400 m. Based on the big data of Shanghai Mobike and the location data of bus routes and stations, the article uses the latitude and longitude distance formula to calculate the riding distance, and proposes a method for calculating the service radius of a bus station when shared bicycles are used. In addition, the result of verifying stations of Shanghai Bus No. 930 based on the proposed algorithm shows that the riding service radius of each station is greater than the standard walking service radius, which indicates that the use of shared bicycles has significantly improved the convenience service quality of bus stations.
