ABSTRACT
Metro station is a densely populated place, and it is easy to cause serious casualties in emergencies such as fires. Reasonable emergency guidance system can improve pedestrian evacuation efficiency and escape rate in emergency environment. In this paper, a virtual reality pedestrian simulation experiment platform is built by immersion virtual reality technology, which can obtain pedestrian’s psychological changes in emergency situations and improve the experiment. Based on the virtual reality platform, pedestrian evacuation experiments in emergency situations were designed. In this paper, the fire scenario of a subway station in Beijing is taken as an example to optimize the design of the guidance system of the subway station. Through the way of objective data output and virtual reality experience of the experimenters, the existing problems of the induction system are analyzed, and new optimization schemes are put forward and compared.
