ABSTRACT
Considering the influence of internet of vehicle (IoV) technology on traditional traffic, this paper studies the three-parameter relationship of traffic flow in the bottleneck section of highway. By analyzing the traffic characteristics of three bottleneck sections of mobile bottleneck, single tunnel bottleneck, and temporary construction road section bottleneck, this paper establishes a traffic flow cellular automaton model for highway bottleneck section in the IoV environment. Using MATLAB programming simulation and comparative analysis method, the traffic data of different road sections, different variable parameters, and different operating environments are output and the influence of three bottleneck sections and IoV technology on traffic operation is analyzed. The results show the traffic flow characteristics of the three highway bottleneck sections. When the proportion of connected vehicles reaches 50% and the traffic density reaches 0.15, the IoV technology can effectively use road resources to reduce traffic congestion on bottleneck sections.
