Status and Countermeasures Analysis of Refrigerated Container Intermodal Transport in China

The refrigerated container intermodal transport is an intermodal transport carried out by using refrigerated container as a carrier. It plays an important role in improving the transport efficiency of fresh cargoes, reducing freight shortage and loss, cutting logistics cost, and promoting energy conservation and emission reduction. Based on document analysis, the study on refrigerated container manufacturing companies and typical transportation enterprises, as well as station enterprise engaged in intermodal transportation of refrigerated containers, the status of refrigerated container intermodal transport in China is analyzed and the problems including the lack of technical requirements for refrigerated container, the lack of requirements for the construction of intermodal yards, and the lack of temperature detection requirements for intermodal transport are summarized in this paper. In view of the problems and refrigerated container intermodal transport development needs for technology specifications, practical suggestions to promote refrigerated container intermodal transport are proposed.
