Road Network Capacity Reliability Considering the Layout Concept of Dense-Network with Small-Scale Roads
Publication: CICTP 2020
ABSTRACT
In order to investigate the interaction between the layout concept of dense-network with small-scale roads and road network capacity, a road network capacity model based on the classical idea of time-space is set up for the evaluation of capacity reliability in this paper. In the model, the characteristic indicators of the road network capacity model are defined. The key indicators which impact road network capacity are filtered by the causal chain of system dynamics. A calculation model is discussed, which considers the service level, traffic organization, cross-sectional form, supply, and demand matching level, is amended by adjusting the key indicators. A numerical study on the 1 × 1.2 km road network is presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed model and algorithm. The road network capacity under the wide-sparse road network layout is fully examined.
