Effective Solutions to Shorten Train Headway of Urban Railway
Publication: ICTE 2019
ABSTRACT
Accompanied with rapid increasing passenger flows of urban railway nowadays, it puts forward urgent requirement to find solutions to shorten train headway so as to improve operation efficiency. This paper presents train headway scenario analysis, establishes model for train headway calculation, proposes solutions to shorten train headway via optimizing characteristics of rolling stock and signaling system configuration. Case simulation shows train headway can be effectively shortened by these solutions, which can be used for timetable optimizing and is of important reference for operation management.
