Numerical Simulation and Optimization of Ventilation Mode of Underground Garage in Jinan Ginza Shopping Plaza

Publication: CICTP 2019

Abstract

With car ownership increasing sharply in China, and the limited amount of existing ground parking space, the parking demand of vehicles can hardly meet the increasing need. In order to make full use of underground space, China has built a number of underground parking garages, but the vehicles in the garage with a cold start and idle speed produce a large number of harmful gases, affecting the air quality of underground garages. In order to study the natural ventilation situation of an underground garage in Jinan Ginza Shopping Plaza, the air distribution parameters are obtained by the measured data. In addition, the natural ventilation in the garage is studied by numerical simulation. The results show that the air quality in the garage reaches the allowable range when the wind speed at the entrance and exit reaches 0.7 m/s. Moreover, four optimization schemes of mechanical ventilation are designed according to the practical situation of the garage, and analyzed by the numerical simulation software.
