Evaluation of Urban Settlements' Whole Life Cycle Environmental Value

Abstract
As one of the most important consumption goods, housing has a close relationship with humans. The quality of the residential environment affects everyone's living condition directly. However, there are many environmental problems during the whole life of urban residential construction. For example, there can be a lot of pollution and consumption of air, water and energy in the process of urban residential planning, designing and destroying. Therefore, the government, public, experts and scholars are paying more and more attention to residential environmental problems, which have already become the focus of society. Under the background of the whole life cycle, this article, based on the value engineering theory, puts forward the concept of environmental value and the theoretical methods and models of urban residential environmental value evaluation. The method provides a useful tool for evaluating sustainable development of residential construction and has great significance in promoting the construction and development of ecological residential construction in China.
