Abstract
Recently, the low-carbon economy has become a hard target for each country because of global warming. A low-carbon economy is a new challenge for China, and it is a new opportunity to develop the economy with low-carbon effect. On this basis, as major emitters of CO2, enterprises have taken measures to conserve energy and reduce emissions. One effective measure is "green-tech", which has played an important role in solving the problem of striking a balance between economy and environment. This paper takes manufacturers as research objects and investigates production strategies of two non-substitution products in random demand implementing green-tech under the policy. By establishing a newsvendor model and Lagrange function, an optimal production strategy can be reached. Through analysis, we draw some conclusions:(1) optimal output and expected profit can be improved effectively after green-tech implementation under a carbon emissions policy; and, (2) although green-tech implementation will cause the increase of production costs, it will make products greener and reduce carbon emission; and, also, the goals of developing a low-carbon economy can be reached.
