Evolution and Revelation of a Foreign Road Freight Network Transport
Publication: Challenges and Advances in Sustainable Transportation Systems
Abstract
As an advanced cargo organizational structure and mode, road freight network operation can greatly improve the efficiency of road transport and reduce transport costs. With the promotion of the external environment and internal market factors in road freight, developing a road freight network is the direction in China and is an effective way to change the current development situation of China's road freight. Therefore, it is significant to study and learn the evolution of foreign road network transport and development of the law. This study analyzed the evolution process of the development of foreign road freight transport from two angles in the transportation business—outsourcing and the carriage of goods—and summed up the basic laws of foreign road freight transport network development, which is that competition and cooperation are the two main themes. Mergers and restructuring also are important, and contracts and standards are important elements of foreign road freight transport network development. Combined with the characteristics of the transport of a domestic freight transportation network, the focus is on network transport development in China. This will guide enterprises toward market network operation, promote synergies among the main bodies of the freight market, strengthen technical innovation, and guide enterprises to achieve specialization, so that the road freight market can be more efficient.
