Abstract
In this paper, a fatigue analysis of a heavy truck was carried based on actual road tests and rigid-flexible coupling multi-body model. First, a road test method for the heavy truck was developed to obtain the acceleration response of axles, and a rigid-flexible coupling multi-body model based on the acceleration response was established. Then, on the basis of the road test method and the multi-body model, the actual load history of the heavy truck was reproduced to predict the fatigue life of the heavy truck and its key components. Finally, a fatigue analysis of the left damper trestle on a front suspension was studied.
