Abstract
Supposing price is influenced by market demand, a two-stage model of multimodal transport has been formed. Through certainty equivalent method, optimal pricing strategies have been worked out under the conditions of decentralized and centralized decision making. This shows that the degree of risk aversion of multimodal transport operators (MTOs) will affect carriers to choose pricing strategies. The degree of risk preference of MTOs will, in a different case, bring influence to the profit of multimodal transport.
