Abstract
Climate change studies for Texas have shown that it will have an impact on the long-term trends in temperature and precipitation in Texas. For this region, temperatures are projected to continue to increase over the century. The precipitation is projected to decrease but the incidence of extreme events is projected to go up. Extreme events such as extended droughts, heavy rainfall, and heat waves will affect many aspects of human life in Texas. These changes in climate will also have a significant impact on the availability of water resources in this region.
