Abstract
As many arterial highway pass through rural areas, traffic participants' safety consciousness are not high and many intersections adopt unsignalized control methods of main road preferential, the traffic accident rate about the non-vehicle and pedestrians traversing these intersections has relation with the delay length. By using probability theory and mathematics induction, this paper has setup the delay model of probability density distribution function when non-vehicles and pedestrians traversing the main roads. Then obtain the average delay model and the least time that majority of non-vehicles and pedestrians can pass through the main roads safely.
