Performance Evaluation Test for Fiber Asphalt Chip Seal

Abstract
To further improve the performance of fiber asphalt chip seal, the factors influencing the performance were studied. By varying the fiber, gravel, and modified emulsified asphalt, the specimens were made; the shear test and clean test were specially designed to test the performance of fiber asphalt chip seal; the indoor test index were proposed that the shear strength should be greater than 0.2MPa, the stone removal rate should be less than 5.3%. The results showed that when the optimum amount of modified emulsified asphalt was 1.9kg/ m2, the optimum amount of fiber was 75g/ m2, the optimum amount of gravel was 7kg/ m2, the performance of fiber asphalt chip seal were the best to meet Indoor Test Evaluation.
