The Prospect of Container Transport Development in Zhanjiang Port
Publication: ICTE 2011
Abstract
This paper introduces the development of container transport in Zhanjiang, the function of container transport and related planning. Polynomial curve model, cubic exponential smoothing model, moving average method are used to predict container throughput in Zhanjiang on the basis of the historical data from 1999–2008. At last, a quantitative analysis of container transport which is based on quantity economics model with high precision is carried out to predict the developmental prospect of Zhanjiang port. Considering the condition of Zhanjiang port and shortcomings of container transport, some advices on the development of container transport in Zhanjiang have been given in this paper.
