Influence of High-Speed Railway Subgrade Slope

Abstract

With the fully operating of the construction of high-speed railway in China, in order to select a reasonable slope gradient and to reduce embankment settlement, mastering the stress, strain and displacement of the subgrade structure under different variation of the slope gradient, and then obtaining the results of corresponding parameters is necessary. Based on actual analysis, establishing free high-speed railway track ballast is necessary under static load in the two-dimensional plane strain finite element model of roadbed, the model considers six different materials: sleepers, ballast, subgrade, base bed bottom, embankment and foundation. The static load and the maximum dynamic load of the rail and the train is simplified as a single round focus load as the static analysis loads, finite element method with the overall structure of the subgrade was compared. The results reveal the influence of slope gradient to deformation, stress and strain of subgrade. The best slope gradient are obtained through the best combination of the three parameters, so as to provide a good reference for foundation design and construction.
