Abstract
In order to appraise a newly built bridge over navigation channels, an effective appraisement method of integral rigidity of the bridges with three spans based on ambient vibration signals is developed. It includes the measurement system design of vibration signals and layout of sensors. Measured vibration frequencies of the first five orders are greater than the corresponding calculation values, which show that the integral dynamic rigidity meets the demand of design code. Measurement and analysis of a practical engineering demonstrates that the appraisement method of integral rigidity of navigation channel bridges proposed in this paper is effective.
