Classification of Navigation Environment Elements in Three Gorges Reservoir Based on Cluster Analysis Method
Publication: ICTIS 2011: Multimodal Approach to Sustained Transportation System Development: Information, Technology, Implementation
Abstract
Ship's navigation environment is the key influence factor in the navigation safety. Elements in navigation environment are complicated, having different characteristics. Therefore, it's difficult to establish the navigation environment evaluation model including all the elements, and it's not necessary. The paper summarizes all the elements of navigation environment and analyzes their characteristics in Three Gorges Reservoir from three aspects comprehensively, which is the environment under water, the environment on the surface of water and the environment above water, defining the quantitative indexes with their weights of all elements by Delphi method. Then cluster analysis method is applied to obtain the cluster analysis map of navigation environment elements, on the basis of which, the paper supply the classification scheme, providing basis for the establishment of navigation environment simulation model in Three Gorges Reservoir.
