Abstract
In order to put forward effective countermeasures to solve cutting/slippage between the intersection asphalt pavement surface and base, theoretical analysis and experimental research is used with examples in Wuan. Traffic and climatic conditions of the intersections between the east ring road and south ring road in Wuan are investigated, and the interlayer slip mode of asphalt pavement is analyzed. Change rule of interlayer shear stress under different conditions is obtained by finite element analysis. As to the effect of temperature on interlayer shearing strength, interlayer shear strength test were performed at twenty-five, forty-five, and sixty degree Celsius with respective to the climate character of Wuan. The results show that Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene Block Copolymer (abbreviation: SBS) emulsified asphalt has good felting capabilities and temperature stability. Therefore, technical measures preventing cutting/slippage between the surface and the base are put forward, such as SBS emulsified asphalt, improving construction quality, adopting rational structural combination and so on.
