A Study on the Financing Mode of Assets Securitization in Port Project
Publication: ICCTP 2009: Critical Issues In Transportation Systems Planning, Development, and Management
Abstract
Through analyzing the asset property of ports, this paper maintains that the high efficiency of port asset provision needs wide multi-channel financing on the basis of clear responsibility. As to the financing channels and mode, this paper combines the theory and operating characteristics of assets securitization, by mainly investigating the function and implementing pattern of port assets securitization. It further proposes an assets securitization financing mode and blueprint for Chinese port projects, and finally proposes an "immune" plan against the possible assets value risk of this financing mode.
