Abstract
This paper focused on developing pavement formance model for the pavement maintenance of expressway in Northwest of China. It included traffic analysis, identification of typical pavement distresses, and pavement performance evaluation. There were three primary distresses in these expressways, transverse cracking, potholes, and rutting. The performance index and pavement performance evaluation model were developed suitable for expressway maintenance in Northwest. The model was evaluated using fuzzy mathematics. In conclusion, the modeling results agreed with expert evaluation.
