An AHP-Based Performance Evaluation Model of Transportation Control System: The Experience from West Liaohe Rd., Dalian
Publication: ICCTP 2009: Critical Issues In Transportation Systems Planning, Development, and Management
Abstract
Vehicle delay, stopping times, queuing length and API are selected as the evaluation vectors and a comprehensive AHP evaluation model is proposed to assess the constructed signal control method. Typical arterials are chosen to conduct the simulation tests by VISSUM, including Beixin Str. for passenger transport arterial, West Liaohe Rd. for freight transport arterial and Xuefu Rd. for mixed transport arterial. Comparison is done between the normal signal control method and the proposed one. The simulation result shows that the proposed signal method can decrease the vehicle delay and improve the average velocity significantly.
