Modeling Incentive Mechanism of Taxi Drivers with the Employment Relationship

Abstract
Taxi is one of essential parts of public passenger transportation. Traditional operation and management mechanism may lead to conflicts, even strikes, among the government, taxi companies, drivers and passengers. In this paper, a new kind of incentive mechanism on the emolument of drivers is designed with the principal-agent theory. The paper consists of the following sections: (1) Operational mode of taxi companies is analyzed (2) Emolument patterns are discussed with employing mode (3) Emolument incentive model is formulated under asymmetric information situation.
