Abstract
Deployment of Advanced Traveler Information System (ATIS) is one of strategies to improve public transportation services. The study examines the factors affecting ATIS information choice behavior by public transportation passengers, based on a questionnaire survey in Dalian, China. By analyzing the aspects of ATIS information, four factors of ATIS information contents are defined. A binary logit model of ATIS information choice behavior is then developed to study the internal relationship among these factors. The results of the study are suggestive for the design of ATIS information contents.
