Abstract
The large-scale three-dimensional terrain scenes of railway location system includes mass geometry and texture data, How to achieve large-scale three-dimensional terrain visualization and real-time roaming environment determines the success or failure of 3D terrain modeling and railway 3D visual location design. Bring out a new mass terrain rendering algorithm based on hardware GPU and OPENGL ES hardware acceleration. The Algorithm makes full use of the GPU power, visibility out on GPU, reduces the CPU to the GPU load and realizes the parallel processing of CPU and GPU. The Algorithm realizes large-scale three-dimensional terrain real-time roaming based on the Multi-threading technology and full use of the GPU rendering functions, and realizes the topography of the out-of-core Rending Based on Oracle database and storage management. The Experiment shows that the algorithm can take full advantage of GPU acceleration, it's not only meet the requirements of precision, achieves a higher frame rate, But also meet the three-dimensional visual design.
