Modeling to Area Air Traffic Flow Control
Publication: International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2009
Abstract
The main method of dealing with the flow control event for the area controller is area flow control. In this paper, the difference of the foreign and domestic method of the flow management has been analyzed, on the basis of the existent method of area traffic flow control, a improved strategy of flow control has been proposed. Using different restriction to the different entrance of area in different period of time, and the departure flights in the area are considered in this paper. Control strategy would be got after using the algorithm in this paper. With this control strategy, the delay of Xi'an 02 sector had been calculated and compared it with the existent control strategy. The result showed the improved strategy decrease the delay of flight greatly, it is valid and practicable.
