Analysis on the Ship Misfire Emergency of Locks in Three Gorges Based on Fault Tree
Publication: International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2009
Abstract
Combining the spot investigation results, this paper draws the fault tree of the ship misfire emergency of the lock in Three Gorges to exploit the inducing structure and countermeasures of the emergency; calculates the minimum cut sets and path sets and then analyzes the structure importance of the basic event by using the calculation results of the minimal cut sets. The calculation and analysis results indicate the following: combustibles without isolation are the main reason for the misfire; such 5 types of basic events as heat caused by oxidation, high ambient temperature, unseasonable goods channels and mixed containerization of goods of conflicting chemical properties as well as the lack of effective fans constitute the inducing factors of secondary events; 12 ways and methods of preventing and curing the misfire emergency of locks in Three Gorges are put forward. Further, the most economic preventing way has been found out.
