Publication: International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2009

Abstract

As for the powered truck with the new speed of 200–250 km/h run in the existing main lines after the sixth speed up in our country, this article analyzes and calculates the carrying capacity of Xian-Baoji district according to the prevalent calculation method for carrying capacity by combining the reality of transportation organization of Xian-Baoji district and analyzing the operation features of it. With the analysis of the opening style of the "V form skylight" in Xian-Baoji district and the factors influencing the carrying capacity, the measures are proposed to improve the clerestory. On the basis of the study on the main factors influencing the deduction coefficient of the powered truck, this article calculates and analyzes its impact on the carrying capacity. The measures for boosting the carrying capacity are proposed, which includes the optimization of organization of powered truck reception and departure operation in the overtaking station, the technical improvement of the signal and block equipment in east Baoji-Baoji district, the optimization of the installment of the signals, the combination and taking-out and placing-in of train stock, the cooperation of the trains with different speeds.
