Application of Coal Mine's Ventilation Network Calculation in Operation Ventilation of Highway Tunnel
Publication: International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2009
Abstract
Presently ventilation problems are becoming the key problems restricting the development of long highway tunnels greatly. Some long highway tunnels have considerable complicated structures of ventilation network, thus to calculate the ventilation system with the traditional ventilation analytical method becomes difficult. Nowadays the auto calculation method of a complex ventilation network is widely used in operation safety ventilation of coal mines, but rarely in that of long highway tunnels. Based on a relative mature loop arithmetic widely used in mine's ventilation calculation, namely the arithmetic of Scott-Hinsley, a ventilation network calculation program designed for highway tunnels, which takes into account influences of natural wind pressure and traffic wind pressure, is developed in this paper. The ventilation network calculation program can provide powerful technology supports for operation ventilation of long highway tunnels, and thus can ensure the operation traffic safety of long highway tunnels.
