Abstract
In order to understand the traffic safety characteristics of curved section of two-lane highway better and find the key affect factors of curved section traffic safety. Firstly, the necessary and sufficient condition for traffic accidents occurred in curved section of two-lane highways are found by using the "track-cross theory", then the track offset as a key index is determined. Secondly, the track offset characteristics of curved section of the highway is quantitative researched. At last, the vehicle speed, vehicle type, road marking and direction proportion coefficient of curved section are found to be key factors impacting the traffic accident.
