Abstract
Yard Intelligent Dispatching System (YIDS) is the important component of comprehensive integrated automatic system in marshalling yard. Theory research is comparatively active in the field of railway yard operation plan assistant compiling in China at present, and the realization of YIDS can produce enormous society and economic benefits. The current domestic and international research situation about the system is analyzed, and then the deficiency of those researches is pointed out. The total goal and overall framework of YIDS is proposed, and some of the innovation and key technology in those researches is pointed out. The single subsystem was emphasized in the past research, but lacked master plan, the limitation of this research method in marshalling yard should be break through. A kind of heuristic algorithm to realize train splitting up and formation scheme optimization can be given through constructing some area optimization regard the wagon-flow allocation of marshalling yard as a clue.
