Road Traffic Safety Controlling System Based on ITS

Abstract
Nowadays, road traffic accident is even the most harmful accident in the world. Consequently road traffic safety has received attention all over the world. ITS, developed quickly in the recent ten years, has greatly bettered traditional transportation, transit capability of road net and safety of road traffic being improved, factors causing traffic accident being eliminated or weakened, traffic accidents reduced greatly. Based on a general presentation of function, application and research theory of ITS, this paper elaborates on traffic safety control system and effect, stating the importance of developing ITS technology in our China.
