Abstract
In the paper, the reliability concept of railroad network capacity is proposed. The factors that might influence the reliability of network capacity are analyzed. The calculating method for reliability of network capacity is given on the key point of kth maximum effective network capacity. The optimal model of kth maximum effective carrying capacity on the concept of K-shortest path is proposed and GAs solution is designed. Real instance with the developing software shows that the concept and calculating method for reliability of network capacity are feasible and promising for practical using.
