Study on Management of the Overload Transportation without Car Stopping

Publication: International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2007

Abstract

In the past few years, with the rapid development in the highway building, but there appears the grievous situation of overload transportation. Overload transportation shortens the service life of highway and endangers the safety of bridge, and it leads to the increases of the malignant traffic accidents. So it is necessary to apply the new method for stopping the overload transportation. For preventing the traffic capacity decreasing, the system of dynamic weighting will be adopted. Because the weighing signal is unbalanced, wavelet is the best method to process it. Based on the Wavelet Multi-resolution analysis, the weighing signal is decomposed into different frequency domain to get the actual signal and calculate the vehicle weight for stopping the overload vehicle.
