Abstract
The essay discusses the block spot characters and influencing factors on some sample sections of freeway where traffic accidents took place many times in recent years. On the basis of analyzing the relationship between the objective causes for traffic accidents that take the radius of horizontal curve as a basic condition and road traffic accidents, the essay makes statistical analysis on the relationship between the rate of traffic accidents and the radius of horizontal curve. Furthermore, the essay also compares analyzing results and present designing specification and standards of the roadway, and amends proper value for the designing parameters of the horizontal curve's radius in roadway design at the angle of the road traffic safety. And thus people can seek some measures to improve traffic safety condition of the roadway.
