Abstract
Rail transit vehicle derailment is a disaster. Vehicle derailment depends on several factors such as vehicle conditions, route geometry conditions, track conditions, operation mode, nature conditions and their most dangerous combinations. Vehicle which is running on the route can be regarded as multi-body system vibration. Multi-body positions can be obtained from coordinate transformation and we can calculate each body displacement, velocity and acceleration on the base of variational principle. So a multi-body coupling dynamic model including route parameters is presented. Through dynamic simulating under different route conditions, we studies relationship of derailment safety evaluation indices (derailment coefficient and rate of wheel load reduction), the main route parameters (lateral grade and radius in circular curve areas) and vehicle running speed. It is hoped that it could provide theoretical instructions for design and safety operation of rail transit transportation.
