Computational Methods of Critical Filling Height in Roadbed Based on Twin Shear Unified Strength Theory
Publication: International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2007
Abstract
Based on the twin shear unified strength theory, computational method of critical filling height in the construction of thick filling area is discussed and analyzed; The calculation formula of critical filling height for highway thick filling area considering influence of intermediate principal stress is given in the paper, and the computational results are compared against those based on the Mohr-Coulomb criterion and on the twin shear unified strength theory.
