Publication: Traffic And Transportation Studies (2002)

Abstract

This paper puts forward bicycle and ride (B+R) mode is more suitable urban trip method in the China. It is necessary to research bus stop spacing by the opsearch theory and computer technique. This paper provides a bus stop spacing optimizing model with the non-linear programming method. By comprehensive considering economic interest about passengers and bus company based on the time value and total system cost, the relational model is established between bus stop spacing and passengers total traveling time cost and bus company cost. At last the models are checked out with simulation programs in Hie Chengdu of the China.
