A Practical Transit Network Design Method
Publication: Traffic and Transportation Studies (2000)
Abstract
This paper proposes a method by which the Emme/2 (INRO Consultants, Canada,) transportation modelling package and a goal programming model can be used to produce a set of fully described transit lines on a general transport network. The process seeks the solution set which offers the best compromise in satisfying the needs and wants of transit users, operators, and local authorities.
