In the context of energy transformation, and specially with the adoption of low-carbon goals by many stakeholders, oil and gas pipelines have achieved a series of achievements in materials and equipment, design and construction, management and operation, and transportation intelligence capability and efficiency. The rapid development of critical areas of pipeline transportation such as new medium (hydrogen, ammonia) pipeline transportation, multi-energy integration of natural gas pipeline network, pipeline life cycle safety, pipeline network energy storage system, high-precision pipeline network simulation algorithm, large-scale pipeline network dispatching, LNG pipeline transportation and cold energy utilization has brought a lot of challenges, but also more vitality and development opportunities to the pipeline industry.
