Special Collection on Asphalt Pavement Technologies: Innovation and Sustainability Materials

This special issue was compiled based on technical papers presented at the 5th International Conference on Transportation Infrastructure and Materials held at Changsha University of Science and Technology in China, July 1-3, 2019.

This special issue, entitled "Asphalt Pavement Technologies: Innovation and Sustainability Materials", contains sixteen technical papers that present a variety of topics related to recent innovation and advancement in asphalt technology. Highlights include modeling of pavement performance using 3D FEM and coupled XFEM-continuum damage mechanics method, characterization of crumb-rubber modified asphalt mixtures, balanced Asphalt mixture design, long-term performance evaluation for heavy load pavement, porous properties of open-graded asphalt mixture, aging and rheology analysis for evaluating cracking performance of asphalt binders and mixtures, and skid resistance deterioration for ultra-thin wearing course.

The guest editors wish to thank the reviewers who have done an excellent job by providing rigorous and constructive reviews for this special issue.
