Special Collection on New Theories, Methods and Techniques in Underground Engineering

More large‐scale geotechnical engineering projects have been built, are under construction, or programmed, especially the underground engineering which becomes larger and deeper. However, due to their complex existing geological environment, the construction of these projects has encountered many new difficulties, such as rockburst, which cannot be solved by the conventional knowledge and methods. This special collection selects high-quality papers that address aforementioned issues by means of theoretical analysis, numerical modeling, technological innovation and practical engineering. All papers published in this collection have undergone rigorous peer review and cover a wide range of topics relevant to researchers and engineers. As papers are accepted, they will be added to this online special collection. Readers are encouraged check back frequently to find more content added to this special collection.
