New Manuscript Submission Requirements
All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste should be accompanied with a list of four potential reviewers that the writers suggest. This list should include the complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address of each reviewer, in addition to a list of at least five key words that identify the expertise of each reviewer. The Journal is not obligated to use all or any of the recommended reviewers; however, we believe that this policy will lead to an improved review process.
All submissions for special issues should be uploaded to our electronic system, Editorial Manager. Please visit the Journal’s website for more information and for links to the online submission/review system.

Guest Editor
Dr. Ming Zhang is the leader of Geo-Environmental Risk Research Group at Geological Survey of Japan, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan. He received a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Kyushu University in 1996 and has more than 20 years of experience in research related to mine construction and waste management, including geological disposal of high-level radioactive waste, remediation of polluted soil and groundwater, and environmental and epidemiological investigations. He has worked on many funded research projects supported by Japanese government agencies and private companies, and has published many articles on soil and rock mechanics, rock hydrology, mass transport, environmental remediation, risk assessment, and risk governance in different scientific journals and peer-reviewed symposium proceedings. He also has experience in editing special issues for the ASCE Journal of Hydrologic Engineering and has been serving as an associate editor for the ASCE Journal of Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste.
