  • Selected papers from the First Congress on Technical Advancement, held in Duluth, Minnesota, September 10–13, 2017. Sponsored by the Committee on Technical Advancement, Aerospace Engineering Division, Cold Regions Engineering Division, Committee on Adaptation to a Changing Climate, Energy Division, Infrastructure Resilience Division, Construction Institute, Utility Engineering and Surveying Institute, and the Duluth Section of ASCE.

    This collection contains 17 peer-reviewed papers on forensics and construction engineering.

    Topics include: construction material properties and evaluation; modeling construction projects; failure incident site documentation and assessment; and road and bridge failures.

    These papers will be of interest to practitioners and researchers working in all areas of construction and forensic engineering.
